this actually happened a ton in '69...not always easy to tell, sometimes it was equipment trouble or some other thing, but usually when Jer drops out for a minute or two during a really crunchy Eleven jam or Dark Star, you know somethings up.

some specific examples

3/28/69 Eleven Jerry's gone for almost 2 minutes starting around 10:45, and weir steps up pretty well:
